Every person needs a bucket list, but some need more than one bucket list. For me I have a personal bucket list, but more importantly I have my motorcycle life bucket list. It started many years ago and I have crossed several off the list. There are still more to go and hopefully someday I will get through the list. I will need a little help accomplishing the list as not everything is in my control but I will try. Some I have completed some I haven’t, so here is the top 10 of items I still want to do.
10) Attend Laconia Bike Week – Having been to both Sturgis and Daytona Bike Week it just doesn’t seem right not to eventually go to Laconia Bike Week.
9) Ride the Wyoming Big Horn Loop – This route was featured in the Harley-Davidson 105th Anniversary Ride Edition Atlas in 2008. Since then has been one of the rides I have wanted to try the most.
8) Make My Living Riding and writing about motorcycles – I am on my way to do this one, in fact with a little bit of luck by the end of the year I may have succeeded at it.
7) Ride with my daughter to a major event like Sturgis – My youngest daughter is one of the people I like to ride with most, I have been trying to get her to come with us to Sturgis for years. Thought this was going to be the year, but it doesn’t sound like it. I will try again.
6) Ride the US lower 48 states in 48 days – I have created my route and think it is very doable and if we get enough sponsorship we will do this one.
5) Ride a trike – I have rode for over 30 years, owned many bikes, but have never tried a trike.
4) Ride across Canada on Hwy 1 – From Victoria to Newfoundland and every province in between. I have rode all of Hwy 1 in BC, Alberta, and to Regina in Sask.would be great to just start at one end and ride all the way through to the end of it.
3) Have my picture taken with 1929 McEvoy Motorcycle – This would be a family thing, I have been looking for one to have my picture taken with in North America for years. The only McEvoy Motorcycle that I know where it is, is in England. I would like to ride to where it is, so I am still looking in North America. If you know where one is, please let me know.
2) Be a judge for the Ms. Las Vegas BikeFest – Who wouldn’t want to do this, seriously!
1) Have a drink with Willie G. Davidson – Nothing would be better than sitting and having a drink with Willie G. Davidson. Wouldn’t it be a great road trip to ride to Milwaukee and have a beer with Willie G? I can’t think of a better way to spend a day on a road trip!
